Doble
Ocho `started in 2008 with the first 'Concurso del Ocho. The competition is for
amature and semi-professional tangomusic groups and
musicians worldwide. Concurso del Ocho want's to
stimulate the creation of new innovative arrangements of
existing compositions and realise a platform for musicians,
recordlabels, programmers and tangolovers. Tangocenter "El Corte " has
donated a moneyprice for the winners of the Concurso.

Op
de 4e zondagen van maanden met 5 zondagen behalve in de zomermaanden july
en augustus organiseert St. Ultimo Tango ism de Cultureel Centrum de Lindenberg een tango salon.
In het nieuwe cafe 23 worden de stoelen en tafels aan de kant gezet en kan tangodansend Nijmegen en omgeving terecht voor een dansje, een hapje en een gezellige
sfeer. De muziek van Lucien Lecarme ( DJ TangoNU ) is een aangename mix van het klassieke werk en meer moderne tango's en zelfs electronische tango's, de zogenaamde Tangofusion. (verhouding 70% klassiek - 30% fusion).

Ultimo
Tango is one of the oldest tango foundations in Holland and organises tangofestivals
from 2000 together with Kunstburo Lucien Lecarme in
Nijmegen (Doble
Ocho) in coorperation with Tango El Corte.
But also in the past in Maastricht (The Ultimo Tango festival) and
twice in Zwolle with tangoabrazo. The festivals are characterised as
innovative programmes in a classical tangofestival framework. Ultimo
tango introduced the first tangofusion salons during a tangofestival
in Holland. The festivals are covered widely in the media
Also Ultimo Tango offers
Tango DJ-ing, tangoworkshops and
performances, like we did
in the Big Diet programme or the introduction of the new Scania 5 series in
Holland. Ultimo Tango made the theatre-dance production TANGO MEETS FLAMENCO, a
fusion of tango and flamenco dance and music. Furthermore we can organise tango theme
parties, or make a professional photoshoot and or DVD of your event or festival
